Do you have the skills and experience to support the development of SurrogacyUK?

by the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority.

About SurrogacyUK
SurrogacyUK is the UK’s largest surrogacy organisation. Established in 2002, and incorporated as a not-for-profit company in 2011, we have a friendship-first approach to ethical, altruistic surrogacy. We facilitate a space in which surrogates and intended parents can meet and form friendships that might lead to the creation or growth of families. We provide support for surrogacy journeys, represent the UK’s surrogacy community in the media, and actively advocate for improvements to the UK’s legal framework for surrogacy.

We are seeking one or more new board members and will prioritise the following skillsets and experience when reviewing applications:

·        professional experience of HFEA regulation

·        management accounting/strategic financial management

·       media/public relations/government relations

·        brand/marketing

·        project/risk management.

Applicants must have demonstrable interest in, or experience of, surrogacy. Board members are required to advocate in support of surrogacy.

Successful applicants will become Non-Executive Directors of Surrogacy UK Ltd and must be eligible to hold directorship of a company registered in England & Wales.

SurrogacyUK’s board meets every other month, online. Board members are expected to contribute their expertise to the organisation outside of board meetings.

Membership of SurrogacyUK (past or present) will be a neutral factor in considering applications.

Please apply online via this form before midnight on Sunday 28 April 2024. Informal enquiries can be made to Alan White, Chair of SurrogacyUK, at alan.white@surrogacyuk.org.

Interviews will be held online in May and successful applicants will join their first board meeting in early July.
