Care in Surrogacy - a publication for healthcare practitioners
SurrogacyUK has recently collaborated with the International Journal of Birth and Parent Education (ijbpe.com) to develop a ‘Care in Surrogacy’ supplement. We’re very happy to share it publicly, with kind permission from IJBPE.
The supplement is written for healthcare professionals, early years educators and anyone with an interest in surrogacy and covers a broad range of issues across healthcare practice, ethics and surrogacy regulation in the UK and internationally.
Please download and share our 2023 ‘Care in Surrogacy’ supplement with your GP, midwife or consultant team and anyone involved in your care – or your surrogate-born child’s early years education.
Welcome to SurrogacyUK, the UK’s leading not-for-profit surrogacy organisation.
Our ethos is “surrogacy through friendship”. Through our organisation surrogates and intended parents can meet one another and form the friendships that can lead to dreams coming true. We are here to help and support you through all the stages of your surrogacy journey.
SurrogacyUK was formed in 2002, by a group of experienced surrogates who believed that a successful journey for both surrogates and intended parents was one based on trust, mutual respect and, above all, friendship.
Today, SurrogacyUK has grown into a professional organisation – a not-for-profit company, governed by a board of directors, run by a small team of staff and a community of volunteers, and supported by an external ethics committee – all of whom are committed to ethical surrogacy and the friendship first vision of those few surrogates so many years ago.
