Conferences at Surrogacy UK are a mixture of formal seminars, guest speakers and interactive workshops.
They are an opportunity to find out about surrogacy, ask questions and get involved – we are a friendly and open community and you will be welcomed from moment you arrive.
For any first time attendees we have a newbie area, where you can meet an appointed buddy who will help you navigate the conference, and introduce you to some people.
Throughout the day there will be ample opportunity to visit the fundraising and networking area. Grab a coffee and a slice of cake (all made by our members) and chat to surrogates, intended parents and completed families.
Children are especially welcome at the conferences, we even provide OFSTED registered childcare while you attend some of the formal workshops.
We especially love seeing those children who are born through surrogacy. First time attendees have said that seeing these children and hearing the emotive stories from our surrogacy team gives them hope that surrogacy could work for them.
Our workshops are varied and give a full overview of surrogacy, whether you are just starting out or whether you are a parent already through surrogacy. We cover all topics in an open and honest way, with all of our session run by those experienced in surrogacy.
In addition we also have guest speakers and guest organisations who will come to speak to us on a number of different issues, such as UK law, donor related issues and even research studies on surrogacy. Our last guest speaker was Louise Brown, the 1st IVF baby born in the UK who gave an insightful view into her life as a “test tube baby”.
Our conferences always come to a close with a special social event – a fun way to unwind after a hectic day and to make those very special friendships that Surrogacy UK is all about.
Surrogacy UK allow a small amount of exhibitors at the conference. For further details email us.
