Karla Nicolaou
Membership Secretary

Karla Nicolaou has been involved with Surrogacy UK as the Membership Secretary since 2009.  She became involved with the organisation after good friends completed their family with the help of their surrogate/friend.  “Seeing friendships and families being created makes my job rewarding each and every day”.  Karla has a long background in office administration, and helps potential members by answering questions and making the joining process as easy and straightforward as possible.

Dawn Allen
Administration Manager

Dawn Allen joined Surrogacy UK in 2008 and has been lucky enough to help create two families by acting as their surrogate.  After volunteering for Surrogacy UK for many years, Dawn became the Administration Manager, responsible for helping and guiding surrogates through the joining process, and coordinating the surrogate support network.

Hazel Palmer
Projects Manager

Hazel joined Surrogacy UK in 2013 with her partner, after her consultant mentioned surrogacy as an option following her cancer treatment.  In 2015 Hazel’s daughter was born with the help of Sam and her family.  “We now have our little family which would not have been possible without the love and support of Surrogacy UK”.  Hazel enjoys working with the Surrogacy UK team to bring projects and initiatives to life so that they are implemented with the view of supporting members and the organisation.

Helen Greenwood
Media and Communications

Helen joined SUK as an Intended Parent in 2013, and took on the roles of Forum Admin and IP Support Coordinator from 2014 to 2016. In March 2017 Helen’s daughter was born thanks to Caz and her family. Helen worked as a technical author for over 15 years and was looking for a new, more creative role that fitted in with her family life. She is delighted to accept role of Media and Marketing Coordinator for Surrogacy UK. “I have gained so much support from the SUK community since joining, and I’m happy to be able to give something back.”
